The Idaho Commission for the Blind received a $124,646 Formula Grant award from the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services under the Randolph-Sheppard – Financial Relief and Restoration Payments federal grant program (CFDA 84.426). The grant funding will provide financial relief and restoration payments to offset losses incurred by blind vendors in Idaho during calendar year 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, to the extent those losses were not otherwise compensated. The Randolph-Sheppard program supports state-run business enterprises that employ blind individuals. This award will help the Idaho Commission for the Blind support blind vendors in the state who experienced financial hardship due to the global public health emergency.
