The Connecticut Office of Early Childhood (OEC) has been awarded a $6,212,445 Formula Grant under the U.S. Department of Education's Special Education-Grants for Infants and Families program (CFDA 84.181). This 14-month grant, effective from July 1, 2025 to September 30, 2026, will support the OEC's comprehensive early intervention system for infants and toddlers with disabilities aged birth to three years in the state of Connecticut. The funding will enable the OEC to deliver a wide range of critical developmental services, including developmental screenings, assessments, individualized family service plans, specialized instruction, therapies, assistive technology, and family support services. These services are designed to enhance child development and minimize potential disability impacts for the target population. As the designated state lead agency, the OEC will coordinate and implement these early intervention strategies in collaboration with local partners to ensure accessible and comprehensive support for infants, toddlers, and their families across Connecticut.
