The Department of Education's Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services awarded the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources a $2.369 million Formula Grant under the Special Education-Grants for Infants and Families program (CFDA 84.181) for the period of July 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022. The grant aims to support West Virginia's implementation and maintenance of a statewide, comprehensive early intervention system for infants and toddlers with disabilities and their families. As part of this effort, $150,000 in subawards were provided to River Valley Child Development Services, Inc. to coordinate professional development activities and family supports. These activities will help strengthen West Virginia's early intervention services delivery network and ensure families of eligible children have access to needed supports.
