THIS PROJECT WILL CARRY OUT ACTIVITIES DESIGNED TO MITIGATE ENVIRONMENTAL HARM FROM FUTURE SLOPE FAILURE.; EXPECTED OUTCOMES: THIS GRANT WILL PROVIDE FUNDING TO ENSURE CONTINUATION OF METROLINK AND AMTRAK PASSENGER RAIL AND FREIGHT RAIL SERVICE THROUGH THE PROJECT AREA. DUE TO METROLINK SERVICE ALONE OVER 20 YEARS THE PROJECT ENSURES THE REDUCTION OF GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS OF 202533 MILLION TONS OF CO2 EQUIVALENTS (MTCO2E).; INTENDED BENEFICIARIES: THE INTENDED BENEFICIARIES OF THESE PROJECTS ARE PATRONS THAT UTILIZE METROLINK AND AMTRAK PASSENGER RAIL SERVICE.
