The Butte County Association of Governments (BCAG) was awarded a $418,862 Federal Transit Formula Grant under the Federal Transit Administration's (FTA) Buses and Bus Facilities Formula, Competitive, and Low or No Emissions Programs (CFDA 20.526). The award, made on January 22, 2024, will provide capital support to BCAG as the owner and operator of the Butte Regional Transit (B-Line) system to modernize its fleet and accommodate the implementation of microtransit and/or non-emergency medical transportation services in Butte County, California. The funding will be used to purchase new vehicles for these services, with the expected outcomes of increased ridership, maintained state of good repair, implementation of routing and service studies, and enhanced transit and non-motorized planning.
