The Yavapai Apache Nation received a $128,018 Formula Grant from the Federal Transit Administration's Section 5311 Formula Grants for Rural Areas and Tribal Transit Program (CFDA 20.509) to support the continued operation and expansion of the Yavapai Apache Transit System. This funding will be used to cover driver salaries and benefits, vehicle maintenance, fuel, supplies, and employee training and travel for the tribal transit system serving the Verde Valley region of central Arizona. The grant supports the Yavapai Apache Nation's efforts to retain qualified transit operators, add new routes, and ensure safe and reliable transportation services for tribal members and residents of the surrounding communities. This federal award will help the Yavapai Apache Nation continue to improve public transit access and quality of life for the populations it serves.
