This $43,966,000.00 Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) formula grant, awarded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on October 1, 2025, will provide low-interest financing to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MoDNR) for planning, design, and construction of eligible lead service line replacement projects and associated activities across the state. The grant funding will enable MoDNR to support public water systems in Missouri by offering loans and sub-grants for lead service line identification, planning, design, and replacement. This initiative aims to enhance public health protection by improving drinking water infrastructure and reducing exposure to lead contamination, in alignment with the objectives of the Safe Drinking Water Act. The expected deliverables include the financing, planning, design, and construction of eligible lead service line projects, as well as increasing the technical, managerial, and financial capacity of public water systems throughout the state.
