The Ascension-St. James Airport & Transportation Authority received a $799,998.89 Formula Grant award from the U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to reconstruct 7,112 square yards of the existing terminal apron pavement at the Louisiana Regional Airport. This grant, associated with the FAA's Airport Improvement Program (CFDA 20.106), will fund the third phase of this infrastructure project, which aims to address the pavement's end of useful life. The project period runs from the award date of September 13, 2023 through the ultimate completion date of September 12, 2027. As an airport authority overseeing the Louisiana Regional Airport, the Ascension-St. James Airport & Transportation Authority will be responsible for executing this apron reconstruction work through this Formula Grant award.
