The Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Service awarded $121,993 to Wyoming Department of Family Services on October 1, 2025, under the Emergency Food Assistance Program (Administrative Costs) formula grant, CFDA 10.568. The award funds storage and distribution costs for USDA Foods through The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) in Wyoming through September 30, 2026.
Wyoming DFS passes funding to the Food Bank of Wyoming (a division of Food Bank Of The Rockies, Inc.), which distributes TEFAP commodities to partner agencies serving low-income individuals across the state. The formula allocation reflects Wyoming's relative share of the national population below the poverty level (60 percent weight) and unemployed persons (40 percent weight). At minimum, Wyoming DFS must make at least 40 percent of administrative funds available to emergency feeding organizations or expend funds on their behalf.
