The program incorporates adulthood preparation topics including adolescent development, healthy life skills, healthy relationships, parent-child communication, financial literacy, and career and educational success.
This is a formula grant under the State PREP program, through which the U.S. territories submit a letter of intent to receive annual awards. Performance spans October 1, 2025 through September 30, 2028, with services delivered throughout the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Department of Human Services, Office of the Commissioner administers this and other federal social service grants on behalf of the territorial government, including child welfare, child care, nutrition assistance, workforce services, and aging programs funded through multiple federal agencies.
