The Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Community Living awarded the Massachusetts Executive Office of Aging and Independence $6.363 million under the Nutrition Services Incentive Program (CFDA 93.053) on October 1, 2025, for the period through September 30, 2027.
The award provides cash and USDA Foods to support the preparation and delivery of congregate and home-delivered meals to older adults throughout Massachusetts. The recipient, which operates as the State Unit on Aging under the Older Americans Act, disburses these funds and foods to regional Area Agencies on Aging and community-based nutrition service providers across the state. The program rewards effective performance in the efficient delivery of nutritious meals. USDA Foods received under this award may not be sold, exchanged, or disposed of without prior specific approval from USDA. The recipient must promptly and equitably distribute all funds to sub-recipients and maintain records adequate to account for all receipts and dispositions for three years following the close of the fiscal year.
