This $27,729,900 Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) Formula Grant, awarded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission, will capitalize the state's DWSRF program. The funds will be used to provide low-interest loans and other assistance to public water systems in Arkansas for eligible drinking water infrastructure projects. These projects may include improving water treatment, distribution, source water supply, and finished water storage. The grant will also support technical assistance to small water systems, program administration, and other allowable activities under the DWSRF. As part of this 4-year award, the state will ensure compliance with federal and state regulations to protect public health and increase the technical, financial, and managerial capacity of water systems statewide.
