The Environmental Protection Agency Region 6 awarded the Oklahoma Water Resources Board a $15.8 million Formula Grant under the Clean Water State Revolving Fund program (CFDA #66.458) for the period of July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2024.
The grant capitalizes Oklahoma's Clean Water State Revolving Fund to provide low-interest financing to subrecipients for planning, designing, and constructing eligible water quality improvement and protection projects. This will help establish and manage an effective statewide program to improve and protect water quality and public health.
One $15.8 million subaward was provided to the Shawnee Municipal Authority for wastewater treatment plant improvements. The grant aims to capitalize Oklahoma's revolving fund as a long-term source of state financing for wastewater infrastructure through capitalization grants to participating states.
