The Environmental Protection Agency Region 10 awarded the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality a $9.3 million Formula Grant under the Clean Water State Revolving Fund program (CFDA #66.458) effective July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2026. The purpose of this grant is to capitalize Idaho's Clean Water State Revolving Fund to provide low-interest financing to subrecipients for water quality improvement and protection projects.
Two subawards are noted. The City of Craigmont will use a subaward for headworks, biosolids removal, lagoon rehabilitation, new ammonia removal, a disinfection system, and collection system improvements. Kidd Island Bay Lots Sewer District will use its subaward to upgrade its treatment system through forest land conversion, lagoon liner replacement, capacity expansion, pump upgrades, electrical upgrades, aeration upgrades, additional chlorine contact piping, new force mains, property development, and spray/drip irrigation expansion. Both subawards support infrastructure improvements to strengthen water quality and public health.
