The project delivers three primary products and services: (1) expansion of currently accredited analytical methods to detect a broader range of emerging contaminants and toxins through enhanced instrument sensitivity and optimized workflows, improving sample throughput and response times for proactive surveillance; (2) strengthened laboratory infrastructure through investment in advanced equipment, staff training, and quality assurance measures to maintain and elevate analytical capabilities that support regulatory actions and protect agricultural interests; and (3) enhanced collaborative partnerships among state and federal agencies to strengthen Mississippi's capacity to identify and mitigate chemical contaminants in the food and feed supply. These efforts build upon prior FDA Laboratory Flexible Funding Model support and position MSCL to provide robust analytical data for informed regulatory action.Federal Cooperative Agreement Award Summary
