The Department of State Bureau of Population Refugees and Migration awarded a $2.6 million cooperative agreement to the International Rescue Committee, Inc. under the Overseas Refugee Assistance Program for Near East (CFDA 19.519) to deliver services supporting refugees and vulnerable host communities in Jordan from September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2023.
Through this award, the International Rescue Committee will provide protection, assistance and resilience programs for Syrian and Iraqi refugees, conflict victims, internally displaced persons and returnees in Jordan. As the Overseas Refugee Assistance Program for Near East aims to assist refugee populations in neighboring countries impacted by conflicts in Iraq and Syria, this funding will support the International Rescue Committee's work to ensure refugees and vulnerable Jordanian communities have their basic needs met and are protected from harm over the one-year period of performance.
