ADDITIONALLY, RECLAMATION WANTS TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUTH TO BE INVOLVED IN CONSERVING RECLAMATION'S NATURAL AND CULTURAL RESOURCES AND RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES. MEANINGFUL EXPERIENCES SUCH AS THESE PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR THESE YOUTH TO DEVELOP PROFESSIONAL AND LIFE SKILLS AS WELL AS AN INCREASED AWARENESS OF ENVIRONMENTAL ETHICS AND STEWARDSHIP. RECLAMATION YOUTH INTERNS (YOUTH INTERNS) WILL GAIN ON-THE-JOB EXPERIENCE IN ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION, COMMUNITY SERVICE, AND NATURAL AND CULTURAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT THROUGH PLACEMENTS LASTING FROM TWO WEEKS TO ONE YEAR.
