The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) awarded a $124,795.00 firm fixed price purchase order to Creare LLC, a small business, to develop low-cost cryocooler control electronics for future small satellite missions. The contract supports the research and development of specialized electronics to enable advanced sensor systems for space-borne science, surveillance, and reconnaissance using compact, low-cost cryogenic cooling technologies. This award is part of NASA's efforts to address the challenging technical, cost, and schedule requirements for cryogenic cooling on smaller, less expensive space platforms, as existing solutions do not meet the needs. The successful completion of this program will provide critical enabling technologies for future NASA space science missions utilizing small satellites.
