Alphacore Inc. was awarded a $124,846.00 firm-fixed-price SBIR Phase I contract from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Shared Services Center to develop a digitally controlled, high-speed, hysteresis-based DC-DC converter suitable for space and harsh environments. The converter will leverage a 180nm digital CMOS process to achieve up to 4.5V input and 4A of output current, with a fast transient response, high efficiency, and reduced external component requirements. The deliverable will be a single-chip, all-digital hysteretic DC-DC regulator with programmable control parameters to support portable applications across different process technologies. Alphacore has previously supported federal microelectronics initiatives through both prime and subcontractor roles, leveraging its expertise in radiation-hardened, cryogenic, and specialized analog/mixed-signal electronics.
