- This federal contract award to Voxtel, LLC, a small business manufacturer, is for the development of high-precision, high-throughput time-to-digital converters (TDCs) to support deep-space optical communications (DSOC) systems. The $754,999 firm-fixed-price contract, awarded by NASA, is part of the agency's efforts to substantially enhance its current telecommunications link capacity for future deep-space missions. The TDCs are intended to enable greater data rates and data return volumes...
- This is a $123,214 firm-fixed-price STTR Phase I contract awarded by NASA to the small business Voxtel, LLC. The contract is for the development of a low-cost, high-pixel-density avalanche photodiode detector array technology sensitive in the 0.9-1.7 micron spectral range that can achieve near-single-photon sensitivity at room temperature. This technology is intended to address NASA's need for space-hardened planetary entry, descent, and landing (EDL) and proximity-operations sensors. The...
- This is a $129,997 firm fixed-price Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase I contract awarded by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to Voxtel, LLC, a small business manufacturer of specialized optics and electronics. The objective is to develop a highly sensitive 640x480-element flash LADAR (laser detection and ranging) camera capable of 100 Hz update rates and 5 cm range precision. The camera will leverage Voxtel's proven readout integrated circuit and avalanche...
- This is a $129,991 Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase I contract awarded by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to Voxtel, LLC, a small business manufacturer of advanced electronics and optics. The contract is for the development of an ultra-compact, high-energy, high-repetition-rate, diode-pumped solid-state pulsed laser system operating in the 1500-1600 nanometer spectral band. This laser system is intended to support NASA's remote sensing, mapping, and...
- This is a $124,999.00 firm fixed price contract awarded by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Shared Services Center to Voxtel, LLC, a small business manufacturer of advanced electronics and optical components. The contract is for the development of a geiger-mode avalanche detector array for optical communications applications, under NASA's Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. The work will be performed in Hillsboro, Oregon. This contract was set aside for...
- This is a $129,995 fixed-price Phase I Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract awarded by NASA to Voxtel, LLC, a small business manufacturer of specialized optics and electronics based in Hillsboro, Oregon. The contract is for the development of a compact, high-resolution, time-resolved intensified image sensor called the Hybrid Intensified Solid-State Pixelated Anode Detector (ISPAD). This sensor is intended to address the challenges of in-situ planetary instrument development, which...
- This federal contract award, valued at $125,000.00, was issued by the Shared Services Center to Voxtel, LLC, a small business manufacturer of advanced electronics and optics. The contract is for the development of hardened silicon Geiger-mode ladar focal plane arrays for a spacecraft's guidance, navigation, and control system. The goal is to obtain 3D imagery of proximity objects or surfaces using small, low-power ladar sensors suitable for use in deep space environments and planetary...
- This is a firm fixed-price Phase I Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract awarded by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to Voxtel, LLC, a small business manufacturer of specialized optics and electronics. The contract is to develop a readout integrated circuit (ROIC) optimized for single-photon counting free-space optical communications, which is critical for NASA's deep-space communications needs. The ROIC will enable simultaneous recovery of photon...
- This is a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase II contract awarded by the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Research Laboratory to Voxtel, LLC, a small business manufacturer of advanced electronics and optics. The contract, valued at $749,999.00, is for the development of a "Dual Band Focal Plane Array" under the SBIR program. Voxtel has previously received SBIR Phase I and II awards from the Department of Defense and NASA for related research and development...
- This is a firm fixed-price Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase I contract awarded by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to Voxtel, LLC, a small business manufacturer of goods and R&D services. The contract, valued at $124,996.00, is for the development of compact, high-degrees-of-freedom freeform beam-expander optics. This is a $129,998.00 firm fixed-price Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase I contract awarded by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to Voxtel, LLC, a small business based in Hillsboro, Oregon. The goal of the contract is to develop a high-channel-count time-to-digital converter (TDC) and laser communications (lasercom) processor to support single-photon focal plane arrays used in laser communications. The TDC will leverage an existing 64-channel design capable of better than 30 picosecond time resolution, and scale to 512 and 1024 channels with optional multicore image processing. In Phase I, Voxtel will demonstrate the existing multichannel TDC processors, including with single-photon avalanche photodiode detectors, and then design the advanced "High-Channel-count Time-to-digital Advanced Processor" module. The ultimate goal is to achieve a kilo-channel design capable of gigaphoton count rates in a continuous data stream.
