This is a $125,000 firm-fixed-price Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase I contract awarded by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to Intelliepi IR, Inc., a small business manufacturer of advanced infrared detector materials. The contract is for the development of high-performance infrared epitaxy materials based on Type II strained layer superlattice (SLS) technology for large-format space-based sensor applications. The goal is to achieve at least 40% quantum efficiency in the long-wave infrared (LWIR) spectral band near 12 microns. The work will be performed in consultation with the Infrared Detector Group at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) to ensure alignment with NASA's needs. This contract supports Intelliepi IR's expertise in antimonide-based epitaxial materials and SBIR/STTR program work for various defense and space agencies.
