The Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command awarded a firm-fixed-price purchase order to Seacorp, LLC, a small business and manufacturer, to provide four new prototypes of the SIR system for at-sea testing and integration with naval platforms and systems. The $223,530.48 contract has a delivery date of no later than 15 weeks after the August 1, 2022 award. Seacorp, which holds several indefinite delivery contracts and basic ordering agreements with the Navy, will provide the prototypes, inspection reports, and a certificate of compliance. This sole-source procurement was determined necessary due to the urgent and time-sensitive nature of the requirement, with no time to compete the work. Seacorp frequently partners with major defense contractors as a subcontractor providing systems engineering, software, and testing services for Navy programs.
