The Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command awarded a $291,881 firm fixed price purchase order to Curtiss-Wright Electro-Mechanical Corporation Fleet Solutions Division for overhaul and testing of Number 2 High Pressure Air Conditioning (HPAC) in support of submarine maintenance requirements at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. As the original equipment manufacturer, Curtiss-Wright will provide proprietary component overhaul and parts for the HPAC system. The solicitation notice indicated the work was intended as a sole-source award to the prime contractor, with eligibility limited to those registered in the System for Award Management and able to demonstrate relevant experience. Performance will occur at Curtiss-Wright's facility in Bremerton, Washington over a period of eight months concluding in March 2023. No set-aside designations or subcontractors were identified. This supports the Department of the Navy's general submarine maintenance responsibilities at the shipyard in the Puget Sound region.
