The Military Sealift Command awarded Dunlap Towing Company a $2 million firm fixed price purchase order to provide dry cargo voyage charter services in support of DOD-Navy operations. Under the contract, Dunlap Towing will transport military cargo between ports in Washington, Alaska, and California utilizing its ABS-certified 200-TEU capacity tug and barge, which meets the solicitation's requirements for a Jones Act compliant self-sustaining vessel or tug and barge combination with maximum 700-foot length and 50-foot draft. The solicitation sought these intermodal sealift services to move ISO containers and munitions over two consecutive voyages, with performance taking place out of Valdez, Alaska. Designated as a total small business set-aside, this contract advances the Military Sealift Command's mission to deliver cargo in support of Navy and Marine Corps operations.
