The Military Sealift Command awarded a $2.33 million firm fixed price purchase order to Norient Product Pool APS for tanker time charter services in support of the Department of Defense's operations in the Western Pacific and Sea of Japan regions. The 47-day charter for the vessel Rich Breeze, beginning 29 March 2021 and ending 2 June 2021, will provide clean petroleum distribution capabilities for the U.S. Navy as requested in solicitation N32205-21-R-4070. Specifically, the awarded contract supports logistics requirements for a tanker capable of carrying minimum loads of 250,000 barrels to transport clean petroleum products throughout the period of performance. There was no set-aside designation for this procurement. Contract execution will occur entirely in Japan waters, managed by the prime contractor Norient Product Pool APS, a subsidiary of the Danish shipping company Dampskibsselskabet Norden A/S.
