The Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command awarded a firm-fixed-price purchase order to L3 Technologies, Inc. (doing business as Advanced Laser Systems Technology) for test teardown and evaluation (TT&E) of four eyesafe laser rangefinders, with an option to TT&E and repair an additional eight units. This sole-source contract, valued at $127,298.04, was awarded under FAR Part 13 procedures without a set-aside designation. As the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the eyesafe laser rangefinders used in the MK15 targeting and identification system, L3 Technologies holds the data rights and is the only company capable of performing the required TT&E and repairs. This contract supports the Navy's sustainment and repair of its electro-optical targeting and sensor equipment.
