***PLEASE CONTACT KELCEY COLE WITH ANY TECHNICAL QUESTIONS OR TO SUBMIT CAPABILITIES TO KELCEY.COLE@NASA.GOV *** NASA/MSFC has a requirement for the Wind River's Simics Express, Simics 5 Pre- Configured Virtual Platform licenses with support and maintenance used by Marshall Space Flight Centers (MSFC) Flight Software developers in the Integrated Avionics Test Facilities (IATF) labs under the Vehicle Integration project within the Space Launch System (SLS) program. Developers within ES50 and the IATF labs use the Wind River software as part of the real-time software code and other SLS jobs. The Simics 5 application allows the SLS Flight Software teams to conduct unit and formal testing. Simics enables tests to be executed using a hardware model when hardware is not available. Wind River's Simics simulates systems allowing users to adopt new development techniques not possible with physical hardware. This allows the Flight Software teams to integrate crucial aspects of their processes. NASA/MSFC intends to procure this software from Wind River on a sole source basis.
