The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) was awarded a firm fixed price purchase order valued at approximately $1.4 million by the National Institutes of Health's National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences to provide mouse behavioral phenotyping services in support of the agency's research efforts. Specifically, the contract enables NIEHS's Division of Intramural Research to leverage UNC's laboratory resources and broad array of mouse phenotyping assays to test hypotheses regarding brain function, create animal models of neurological disorders, and confirm potential environmental toxicants. The work will be performed at UNC's facility in Butner, North Carolina over a five year period ending in May 2024. No subcontractors or set aside designations were identified.
