Non-USPS mail such as Fedex UPS and other private carriers please use Rockville, MD 20850. The National Cancer Institute (NCI), Center for Cancer Research (CCR), Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) requests that NCI's Office of Acquisitions/Strategic Acquisitions Branch (SAB) procure a Brand name or Equal Delta Vision Ultra High-Resolution Microscope with Air Table Cabinet. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items, prepared in accordance with format in FAR 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation: No. 75N91019Q00110 includes all applicable provisions and clauses in effect tough FAR FAC 2019-03 (July 2019) simplified procedures for commercial items. The North American Industry Classification System code is 334516 and the business size standard is 1000 employees. Only one award will be made as a result of this solicitation. This will be awarded as a severable firm fixed price type contract. I. Description of Requirement The following product features/characteristics are required for this requirement: Customized IX73 microscope stand with no internal gearing. Focus knobs control Z stage resulting in reduced maintenance of microscope. Single, unified focus mechanism. Many other microscopes require two focus mechanisms such as "microscope focus" and "piezo focus" in order to perform high speed z acquisition. Delta Vision has single focus that includes high speed z scanning resulting in lower maintenance and increased ease-of-use. TruLightTM Illumination Module - Critical illumination with 1 mm optical fiber, increases signal-to-noise ratio to enable optimal imaging conditions for living specimens. Less out of focus Illumination vs traditional Koehler illumination - Advanced proprietary excitation light path design, with motorized UV block filter for cell viability, and a motorized field illumination iris to prevent phototoxicity and bleaching of samples areas adjacent to the current field of view, optimized for multi-point visiting experiments - "Eyepiece Viewing" and "Camera Imaging" modes: automated switching between Koehler/Critical - 2x increase in power in "Imaging" mode - Automated Critical/Koehler adapter and 5 axes alignment unique to the market. Integrated Photosensor Measures light intensity delivered to each individual image. All images acquired are then normalized and balanced. This minimizes any variations in light intensity and generated consistent, quantitative results. This is a critical item in proper deconvolution of Z stacks and for quantification of time lapse images. This allows illumination power fluctuation correction over time and offers more quantitative results over conventional fluorescent microscopes. Objectives - GE hand selects 40x, 60x and 100x oil objectives for each system. - Objectives are tested for astigmatism, spherical and comatic aberration. - These components are critical and must be supplied by GE to enable PSF mapping, Image quality and quantitative capability. - Empirically measured, cleaned and fitted systematic blur error data (PSF / OTF) for each objective type, for use in fully integrated one click image contrast restoration (deconvolution) Oil Matching Kit and Immersion Oil RI Calculator app The Delta Vision Ultra is supplied with 18 different immersion oils in the range of RI from 1.5000 to 1.534. This is crucial for correction of sample induced spherical aberration correction, where the sample has a lower RI than the coverslip glass and standard immersion oil. High Precision, High Speed, Absolutely Addressed XYZ Stage - The stage position is absolutely encoded with respect to the fixed Z position objective lens. - Every Delta Vision Ultra stage is calibrated and qualified using its internal absolute position encoders. This is not a simple raw test of the motor specifications. Internal encoder positioning systems provide very precise (nanometer scale) position information. - Each motor (X, Y and Z) moves independently of the others to ensure linear motion in each axis; this is a critical component of repeatable imaging. - Panel collection with high precision stage enables researcher to stitch multiple high magnification images into a single image without individual image manipulation. - Stage accepts slides, 35 mm dishes, chamber slides and SBS format plates. softWoRx 7.x Software Environment - Multi User environment - 2D deconvolution - 3D Image Contrast Restoration (deconvolution) - 3D, 4D, 5D visualization and analysis - FRAP, FRET analysis - Analysis and visualization software all run on a networked Workstation environment.
