The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center (UNM HSC) was awarded a $41,250 firm-fixed-price purchase order contract by the Indian Health Service to provide monthly Extension for Community Health Outcome (ECHO) sessions. These virtual sessions will bring together local providers and national experts for peer-to-peer clinical learning and tele-mentoring on public health surveillance, management, and epidemiology for the Navajo Area Office. The contract has a base period of one year with a one-year option. This contract was awarded under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), as the government determined UNM HSC was the only reasonably available source. The contract is not set aside for any specific business category. UNM HSC has multiple federal contract and grant awards, including Indefinite Delivery Vehicles with the Department of Veterans Affairs and Bureau of Indian Affairs, supporting the provision of specialized medical services and education to federal agencies.
