The Department of Health and Human Services Food and Drug Administration awarded a $317,900 firm fixed price purchase order to Axion Biosystems, Inc. for the delivery of one Axion Biosystem Maestro Multi-Well Microelectrode Array system. The system will meet the technical requirements outlined in the FDA's February 2023 special notice, including integrated signal amplification, digitization and stimulation hardware, environmental controls, automated plate docking, stimulus design capabilities, and the ability to record from multiple well plate formats with multiple electrodes per well. The award is being issued on a sole source basis to Axion Biosystems as the only company deemed able to satisfy the specialized technical needs specified by the FDA for its Office of Acquisition and Grant Services. The period of performance is from March 2023 through June 2026 at Axion Biosystems' location in Atlanta, Georgia.
