The U.S. Geological Survey intends to award a non-competitive purchase order to Vista Clara, Inc of Mukilteo, Washington to upgrade an existing borehole nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) logging system due to estimate geologic and hydraulic properties of aquifer systems. The requested upgrades to the NMR logging system to retune the highest F1 frequency and add a third lower frequency (F3) will enhance the capability of the system to see deeper into aquifer formations to provide more robust permeability and porosity measurements in larger-diameter intervals of boreholesThe addition of the amplifier and rewiring at no charge will protect the system from blown circuity and electrical shorts. The system upgrade is time critical for NMR logging in support of the NYWSC drilling program on Long Island and the NGWOS airborne electromagnetic survey of the Delaware Bay. This upgrade requirement is to be completed within 30 days of the date the contractor receives the purchase order. In accordance with FAR 5.207, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency, however, THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.
