The Department of the Interior's U.S. Geological Survey awarded a $22,995.92 firm fixed price purchase order to Georgia Barn & Metalworks, LLC, an American Indian owned small business, to construct a 30' x 72' x 12' boat storage shed with an open design and galvanized metal roof. This award fulfills the solicitation requirements for the U.S. Geological Survey South Atlantic Water Science Center, which sought the shed to house and protect boats used by staff in daily operations at its new collocated facility with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Savannah National Wildlife Refuge in Hardeeville, South Carolina. As a total small business set-aside, only bids from small businesses were considered for this contract to build the needed storage facility.
