The Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) awarded a $600,600 firm-fixed-price purchase order to Ecology Mir Group LLC (EMG), a small, for-profit limited liability company owned by Subcontinent Asian Americans, for refuse collection services at Jemez Day School and T'siya (Zia) Day School in New Mexico. The contract, which is not set aside, has a 5-year period of performance from April 2025 to April 2030.
The original solicitation, which was initially set aside for Native American-owned small businesses under the Buy Indian Act but was later opened to unrestricted competition, requested weekly trash pickup using three 20-cubic yard dumpsters at Jemez Day School and one 20-cubic yard dumpster at T'siya Day School. The contract will be awarded on a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable basis, with technical evaluation factors including contractor capabilities and past performance. EMG, which holds multiple Blanket Purchase Agreements and Indefinite Delivery Vehicle contracts across various federal agencies, was selected as the prime contractor for this refuse service requirement.
