This is a grant awarded by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) to participate in the Olympic Mountain Experiment (OLYMPEX) field campaign. The purpose of the field campaign is to provide ground-based validation support for observations from the Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) Core Observatory satellite, which is a joint effort between NASA and the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). The grant has a ceiling value of $200,000.00 and an ultimate completion date of March 31, 2017. This award is not designated as a set-aside contract.
