Added: Oct 30, 2009 1:06 pm Memphis District Corps of Engineers intends to award Tee (3) Multiple Award Task Order Contracts (MATOCs). The work will consist of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment for the construction of various types of stone navigation structures to include various types of dikes, chevrons, bendway weirs, and hardpoints on the Mississippi River between River Miles 954.0 to 320.0 AHP within the boundaries of the Memphis and Vicksburg Districts. Individual Task Orders will be issued toughout the life of the contract designating the locations and types of work that will be performed.CONTRACT INFORMATION: The proposed procurement will be a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) resulting in tee Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), MATOC with a shared ceiling value Not to Exceed (NTE) $45,000,000.00 (For all contracts combined); the contract duration is for a base period plus two one-year option periods or whichever comes first. This solicitation will be evaluated in accordance with the criteria described in the Request for Proposals with award of the contract to responsible Offeror(s) whose proposal conforms with all the terms and conditions of the solicitation and whose proposal is determined to represent the overall best value to the Government considering technical capability, prior experience, past performance, and price. The work under these contracts will be accomplished tough the use of Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) task orders. The task orders will be competed among the 3 MATOC contractors within their award pool. The range of the estimated value of the work will be stated in each task order. The contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after the Notice to Proceed and complete the work within the time period specified for each task order. The individual task orders will include provisions for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. The majority of the individual task orders are expected to be funded by American Recovery and Re-Investment Act (ARRA) funding. This is an Un-restricted Procurement with a Hub-Zone price evaluation preference. The associated North American Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction and the small business size standard is $33,500,000.00. The magnitude of this project is more than $10,000,000. To be eligible for contract award a firm must be registered in the DoD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Register via the CCR Internet site at http://www.ccr.gov or by contacting the DoD Electronic Commerce Information Center at 1-888-227-2423. Estimated Request for Proposals issue date is on or about November 18, 2009. Proposals are anticipated to be due on or about December 18, 2009.
