There is no solicitation, specifications or drawings available at this time.The Military Sealift Command is seeking eligible businesses who can provide all management, supervision, personnel, labor, materials and equipment (except for Government furnished items) required to maintain and support the Isotta Fraschini V1312C2ME-HPCR Ship Service Diesel Generators , including, but not limited to diesel engine prime mover, electrical generator, monitoring control and regulating systems, safety and control devices, control panels and human machine interfaces, hardware and software interfaces, on Joint High Speed Vessel (JHSV) Class Vessels. Support shall include periodic equipment grooms, technical representative visits, telephone consultations, remote technical support via e-mail and phone, hardware and software configuration management services, new/overhauled parts supply, maintenance and periodic equipment training. It is anticipated that service representatives will be required to visit JHSV class vessels at various ports including, but not limited to, the following locations: Baltimore, Maryland; Earle, NJ; Norfolk, Virginia; Boston, Ma. Charleston, S.C.; Seattle, Washington; Portland, Oregon; San Diego, California; San Francisco, California; Honolulu, Hawaii; Guam; Singapore; Yokosuka, Japan; Jebel-Ali, United Arab Emirates; Baain; Dubai; and Naples, Italy. The work is to be performed by Isotta Fraschini authorized/certified technicians and all parts and equipment required are to be Isotta Fraschini OEM. Estimated issue date of this solicitation is on/about 18 May 2012. After issuance, solicitation may be obtained tu Federal Business Opportunity (FEDBIZOPS)All Small businesses, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Certified HUBZone, Woman Owned and Certified 8(a) Small Businesses are encouraged to respond. The Government will determine whether a set-aside acquisition in lieu of full and open competition is in the Government's best interest. This office anticipated award of a contract no later than 01 October 2012. The appropriate NAICS Code is 811310. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE OR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential small business sources prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of an award. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis.It is requested that interested small businesses submit to the contracting office a brief capabilities package demonstrating ability to provide the requested items. Added: Apr 26, 2012 8:21 am The Department of the Navy, Military Sealift Command Norfolk (MSC), intends to award a sole-source Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Requirements type contract to Fincantieri Marine Systems North America, Inc., 800 Principle Court, Suite C, Chesapeake, VA. in accordance with 10 U.S>C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented at Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements, to provide field service and shop repair support and parts for Isotta Fraschini V1312C2ME-HPCR Ship Service Diesel Generators, including, but not limited to diesel engine prime mover, electrical generator, monitoring control and regulating systems, safety and control devices, control panels and human machine interfaces, hardware and software interfaces on Joint High Speed Vessel (JHSV) class vessels assigned to MSC Norfolk. The actual work shall be performed on-board vessels and at authorized Fincantieri marine System North America, Inc. facilities in the region specified in th delivery order. The government anticipates award of a single contract for a base period of one year, with four (4) one year option periods. The Request for Proposal (RFP) shall not be set aside for small business concerns. The estimate issue date for the solicitation is on or about 18 May 2012 with an estimated closing date of 18 June 2012.
