Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has been awarded a $1.09M definitive firm fixed-price contract by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Engineering District Albuquerque to provide Architect-Engineer services for a Combat Rescue Helicopter facility refresh design project at Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico. The contract was awarded on July 28, 2025 with an ultimate completion date of January 31, 2027, with performance taking place in Dallas, Texas. This is a non-competitive sole-source award made under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, justified by Jacobs' role as the original Designer of Record for the CRH facility, which positions the firm to efficiently execute the design refresh work.
The scope of services includes refreshing the existing 100% completed design to ensure compliance with current design codes and regulations, updating the Comprehensive Interior Design and Structural Interior Design, and adding telecommunications design components. As a parent company and large professional services firm headquartered in Dallas, Jacobs brings extensive experience in federal engineering, facilities management, and infrastructure development projects across multiple Department of Defense and civilian agencies. The contract represents the Government's determination, following a Special Notice period for competitive challenge, to proceed with awarding the work to Jacobs based on its technical qualifications and prior familiarity with the CRH facility requirements.
