The projected performance period is from 25 September 2015 to 20 Feb 2016.Respondents to this Sources Sought shall provide the following information:a) Vendor background summary including, contractor name, address, DUNS, point of contact information, email, phone, website address, and any small business designation.b) Capability statements addressing the particulars of this effort, with appropriate documentation supporting claims of organizational capability.The Government will review provided market information to ascertain potential capabilities to provide construction services described in this notice and otherwise anticipated. Added: Jul 06, 2015 5:32 pm This is a pre-solicitation notice for the US Army Corps of Engineers upcoming requirement for repairs at Copan Lake, Oklahoma. This Synopsis serves as notification to industry and all interested parties of the upcoming procurement of Tainter Gates and Replacement of Wire Ropes at Copan Lake, Oklahoma. The anticipated date for release of the request for proposal (RFP) is on or about July 2015. The solicitation/request for proposal shall be posted in its entirety on this website. The Awardee will be selected on the basis of the Lowest Price, Technically Acceptable (LPTA) in accordance with FAR 15.101-2. The NAICS code for this procurement is 237990-Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction. The Government anticipates awarding a contract using the Lowest Price Technically acceptable. This will be a total turnkey contract with all work being performed by the Contractor. Contractor will be required to furnish all materials, equipment, labor, instruments, tools, subcontractors, supervision, and management to complete all work required by this contract. The scope of work in general, which includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: a. Transport stoplogs and lifting beam from the Copan Lake Project Office to dam site, install stoplogs in stoplogs recesses, remove stoplogs from recesses and transport stoplogs and lifting beam back to Copan Lake Project Office. b. Contractor shall provide and replace seal assemblies on 4 stoplogs prior to initial use. c. Provide traffic control. d. Contractor shall develop a crane placement plan using a Linkbelt HTC 8675 Series II (75 US Ton). e. Sand blast and paint the upstream and downstream sides of 4 tainter gates. f. Provide and install seal assemblies on 4 tainter gates. g. Weld repairs 4 tainter gates. h. Provide and install wire ropes on 4 tainter gates.
