NASA awarded a $348,930 firm-fixed-price contract to Boulder Nonlinear Systems Inc. to design and construct four liquid crystal-based non-mechanical laser beam steering systems. The systems will be integrated into NASA's Langley Research Center's Nonlinear Dynamics Laboratory. The first two units will be based on a set of threshold specifications, while the second two units will incorporate additional research and development to meet a set of objective specifications. All four beam steering units will be constructed and characterized by the contractor prior to delivery to NASA.
