The U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) awarded a one-year, time and materials contract valued at $398,274.27 to the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) to provide transit subsidy benefits (referred to as "SmartBenefits") to ITC employees commuting in the National Capital Region. The contract was awarded on a sole-source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and does not have a set-aside designation. WMATA, as a U.S. state government entity and transit authority, will directly administer the transit subsidy program for ITC personnel. The contract supports Executive Order 13150, which mandates federal agencies in the National Capital Region to implement employee transportation subsidy programs.
