Proposed Solicitation Issue Date: Estimated on/about March 2, 2018 Title of Project: Reinstall Fire Sprinkler Systems in NPS King Salmon FAA Permanent Housing, KATM 245181 Description: The proposed work consists of the installation of new NFPA 13D wet-pipe fire suppression systems to the permanent housing units located at the FAA housing compound in King Salmon, Alaska. This project will include a total of nine units, five single family structures, and two duplex buildings. The fire suppression system piping and components located within the living space shall be concealed using a soffit system. Type of Procurement: A negotiated, firm-fixed price contract will be awarded requiring submission of both a technical and a price proposal. The government will consider an offeror's technical capability in comparison to its price. Estimated Price Range: $100,000 - $250,000 Estimated Period of Performance: May 2018 - October 2018 Time for Contract Completion: The project is to be completed by 1 November 2018. Proposal receipt date is not known at this time. The actual date will be established in the solicitation documents. This procurement is a TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. Upon completion of work, contractor to test all systems and alarms to ensure proper function and provide commissioning service to ensure all facets of the newly constructed systems are operational. Contractor to provide current inspection certificates for all nine (9) newly installed fire suppression systems. Upon completion, the contractor will inventory the newly installed fire suppression systems on government provided inventory forms and provide photographs of the completed installation.FIRMS INTERESTED IN THE PROJECT SHOULD POSSESS THE FOLLOWING SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE AND ADDRESS THESE SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE IN THEIR RESPONSES TO THIS NOTICE:1.
