This is a $1,818,201.00 Cooperative Agreement awarded by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Ames Research Center (ARC) to the UAV Collaborative. The agreement is for the purpose of maintaining an existing research partnership to conduct joint activities related to the development and testing of unmanned aircraft system (UAS) technologies for scientific, civilian, and commercial applications. This includes analyzing and evaluating UAS platform and payload performance, improving downlink capabilities, conducting UAS demonstrations, and addressing challenges related to flight safety and air traffic management. The agreement, which has no set-aside designation, is a continuation of a prior cooperative agreement and will run for an additional 4-year period from June 20, 2015 to June 19, 2019. The project aims to pursue technology research consistent with NASA's activities in areas such as Earth science, planetary exploration, and applications that benefit the public, while also providing university student research opportunities.
