South Windsor Public Schools is a U.S. local government entity doing business as South Windsor School District. As a school district, it provides educational services to students.

South Windsor Public Schools, through its Accounting Department division, has received multiple federal grant subawards funded by the U.S. Department of Education in support of services allowed under the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act. These include four subawards to provide special education and related services under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Part B section 611 program. Additionally, the district has received two subawards under the ARP Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) program administered by the state education department. These ESSER funds can be used for activities to reopen and safely operate schools, as well as to address learning loss. Finally, South Windsor Public Schools was the subrecipient on another federal grant from the state education department to facilitate the safe reopening and continued operation of local schools during the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on this history, the school district seems specialized in utilizing federal grants under COVID-19 relief and education stabilization programs to deliver critical educational services to students.
