Solicitation VA69D-13-D-0824 Project: Upgrade Elevators Project Number: 585-12-110 Location: Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain, MI Statement of Work: Provide for and furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, licenses, certificates, insurance, supervision, and other items designated under the provisions of this contract to complete Project 585-11-110 Upgrade Elevators at Building 1 of the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center, Iron Mountain, MI. The project work includes the renovation and upgrades of three (3) existing traction elevators S-1, P-2 and P-3 including, but not limited to demolition, architectural, mechanical and electrical work as outlined in the contract specifications and drawings. The associated elevator controls on the 7th and 8th floors shall be removed and upgraded. Mechanical and electrical systems shall be new and modified to work with the three renovated elevators. Upon project completion, the renovated traction elevators shall be fully functional, tested, certified and commissioned before final acceptance. The project is to be completed within 550 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed is issued. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on FedBizOpps - https://www.fbo.gov/ on approximately April 4, 2013 with the bid opening scheduled for approximately May 6th, 2013. A pre-bid conference/site walk-through shall be conducted for this project one week after the full solicitation package is formally issued on FedBizOpps; all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-bid conference will be included in the formal solicitation package. Dependent upon the number of CVE-SDVOSB certified vendors expressing strong interest in this solicitation, it is intended to be set-aside CVE-verified for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business firms.
