This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial supplies and services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 and Far Part 13 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is being issued as Request for Quote#VA-246-11-RQ-0189. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the most recent Federal Acquisition circular. The NAICS Code is 332410. The department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Salem, Virginia has an emergency requirement for the Lease of a Mobile Boiler Room Unit which shall be enclosed in a weather-tight trailer and will include all controls, pumps, tanks, and equipment necessary for the generation of steam and recovery of condensate per industry standards. Boiler shall meet all applicable safety standards, be oil fired with intrinsic tank in trailer, have a minimum 200hp capacity with a regulated output capable of maintaining 20PSI steam supply. Vendor shall provide all labor, material and equipment to transport, setup and connect unit to Salem VAMC's Bldg 17, located at 1970 Roanoke Blvd, Salem, VA 24153. The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center Salem , Virginia intends to solicit quotes and award a firm fixed price contract.
