Statement of Need

Conex Boxes



Scope of Work:



The Erie VAMC has a current need to lease/rent two, 40 foot standard storage containers (i.e. Conex boxes) for a minimum of 12 months. It is the intent of the Erie VAMC to establish a BPA with 1 base plus 4 options years. The VA will issue individual task orders against the BPA when a need arises for addition conex boxes in various sizes and length of time. Please provide pricing (monthly rates) for 10 foot, 20 foot and 40 foot conex boxes.



Salient Features:



The contractor shall furnish conex boxes that are:



" Standard Dry conex box storage containers

" If a container is leaking the Vendor must fix or replace the container at their expense.

" Wind and Watertight (WWT or "A grade")

" Constructed of minimum 14 gauge corrugated steel sides and roof

" Include locking 14 gauge cam-locking steel double end swing doors

" Include 1-1/8" plywood floors capable of supporting forklift traffic (60,000 lbs. per 44 square inches).

" 40' box shall be in compliance with the dimensional requirements shown in Figure 1.

Delivery and Removal:



" The contractor shall deliver the Conex boxes to the designated location at Erie VA, which will be coordinated upon to award.



" The contractor shall relocate the Conex boxes upon request of the VA within 5 business days of notification.



" At the completion of the rental contract, the contractor shall remove the Conex boxes within 5 business days of notification.
