THIS IS A SYNOPSES (NOTICE OF INTENT) FOR A SOLE SOURCE ACQUISITION; AS REQUIRED BY FAR PART 5.2. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). The Contracting officer has determined that the circumstances of this contract action deem only one source is reasonably available. This requirement is considered commercial in nature and any resultant contract will be awarded in accordance with FAR 15. The AF ISR Agency/A7KR Contracting Office intends to award a sole source Fixed Price contract to Geotech Instruments, LLC. The contractor will repair two (2) component parts for Model KS54000 seismic modules and provide spare parts for equipment sustainment within 120 days of contract award. The solicitation for this requirement will be issued to Geotech Instruments, LLC as a Request For Proposal (RFP). It has a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 334519 with a size standard of 500. All contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) which is formally Central Contractor Registry to be eligible for award (See Internet site: https://www.sam.gov/index.html). It is mandatory to obtain a DUNS number prior to registering in SAM by calling DUN & Bradstreet (1-800-333-0505). THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. Any firm that believes it can meet the specifications above may give written notification to the point of contact below. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
