The USACE, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), has a need for Support Services (SS) in support of the Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (GSL), US Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) at the Waterways Experiment Station (WES) in Vicksburg, MS.

The requirement will include all aspects of planning, execution, data collection and reduction, and reporting to cover the research and development activities being executed by the GSL both at Vicksburg, MS and remote field sites as applicable. The specific tasks which the contractor will be required to participate in are directed towards satisfying and supporting Army and DoD requirements in several specific technical areas of engineering and science which include: geotechnical engineering, geosciences, geology, geophysics, physics, airfield and roadway pavements evaluations, vehicle/terrain interaction, general engineering, foundation engineering, sustainment engineering, engineering consultants, concrete materials, weapons penetration and phenomenology, airbase and airbase facility surveys, engineering technician support, technical and grammatical editors, student interns, and administrative support. The contractor will also be required to support the development and evaluation of new and modified materials, prototype hardware, fabricate model and prototype items, perform field and laboratory evaluations, collect test data and perform data reduction/analysis, assist in developing techniques for system evaluations, and support the conduct of a broad range of research leading to the resolution of both civil and military engineering problems. The contractor will be required to assist in the review of R&D work and products, which can include technical reports and papers, plans and specifications, progress reports, and other informal reports and video documentation covering research activities, technical briefings, and the presentation of research findings. The deliverables of this requirement are overall support to GSL research and testing, technical reports, computer models, and prototype equipment and systems. Contractor personnel must be US citizens and be capable of obtaining security clearances on an as needed basis up to the SECRET level.
