The Naval Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Lakehurst NJ intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with King Nutronics Corporation of Woodland, CA for the acquisition of the following pressure and air data sub-assemblies: eighteen (18) 3666-6-3 Accessory Units; sixteen (16) 3682-134-7 Vacuum Pump Assemblies, and sixteen (16) 3688-30-1 Regulator Kit Assemblies. These precision sub-assemblies are a part of existing calibration standards (model 3666 and 3688 series) and are required to replace missing or deficient system components. King Nutronics is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the systems and components and owns all the data, drawings, and proprietary rights to the equipment. The use of OEM's equipment component and sub assemblies is required due to the unique safety issues/concerns at pressures up to 10,000 psi and guarantees original system specifications and equipment warranties. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c)(1), FAR 6.302-1. Government does not own current data, drawings, or other specifications to permit full and open competition. The All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct further competition. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to further competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
